Chief Guest Capt. S Divakar, Managing Director and CEO (A/c), Dredging Corporation of India, in his address, spoke on the importance of the Ocean with reference to Dredging, Ocean acidification, marine eco-system and climate change.

The Guest of Honour Dr. Jai Gopal Acharya, Director, International Ocean Institute (Singapore - Focal Point) IOI Ocean Academy (Singapore), Singapore threw light on the following topics referring to the recently held event ISA, UN and elaborated on issues regarding biodiversity, over-exploitation of the ocean, Ocean Pollution, deep sea mining, rebuilding of Mangroves that are very important for ocean etc.

On the eve of World Ocean Day, many competitions were conducted for students.
