  MARINCO 2019 - Maritime International Conference is being jointly organized by Indian Maritime University and Academy of Maritime Education and Training, Chennai on 4th and 5th November 2019 in commemoration of the centenary year of first Indian ship SS Loyalty at IMU Headquarters, East Coast Road, Semmencherry, Chennai 600 119. The major theme of the conference is Trends in Marine Science and Technology. The conference would be an ideal platform for the Researchers, Engineers, Scientists, Industry, Professionals and Academia to share the recent advances in the field of Marine Science and Engineering. The Maritime Sector is developing at a fast rate towards sustainable development. The global maritime community has launched a number of initiatives such as ports modernization, port connectivity, green energy, inland and coastal shipping and smart productions towards industry 4.0 in maritime sector. These advances have now opened up substantial opportunities and it is important to unblock the bottlenecks to give direction to the Maritime Sector. The purpose of this Conference is to highlight the contribution of recent advances in Marine Science & Technology and the challenges faced by the Maritime Sector towards achieving sustainable growth.
