IMU

Indian Maritime University (IMU), established through an Act of Parliament (Act 22) in November 2008 as a Central University under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Government of India) has been in the forefront in developing trained human resources for the global maritime sector. IMU offers a range of academic & research programmes under U.G & P.G, streams to promote research and development in emerging areas like maritime law, maritime security, environmental studies, blue growth, marine data and knowledge, sea basin strategies and other allied fields. CHSS

The Center for Human Security Studies (CHSS) is a non-governmental, non-political, and non-profit mobile Human Security Think Tank focused on Internal Security and External Affairs of India. CHSS undertakes and conducts Studies, Research and Analysis in the areas of National Security Interests spanning across the fields like internal security, Counter Terrorism Mechanisms, Maritime & Seaport Security, Aviation Security, etc. CHSS has been working relentlessly through its research, outreach & capacity building initiatives. Its activities extend to encompass various aspects relating to emerging technologies (AI, Blockchain, IoT, Bigdata & 5G and Metaverse) and their impact on National & Human Security. CHSS actively takes up policy research & provides constructive inputs for policy formulation.

About the Course

The 3-day Executive Certificate Program is designed to help empower Seaport Security Practitioners, especially on leveraging Emerging Technologies (Artificial Intelligence- Blockchain-IoT-Bigdata-5G-Metaverse) for achieving a robust seaport security Management. The Course aims to cover both the physical security & Digital security aspects of Seaport Security Management.

The development of modern port facilities requires the use of currently emerging information and communication technologies, digital solutions and innovative business models.

Seaport Security Management has become a highly challenging order, given the rapid rise of emerging technologies and its influence on all the vital installations of the national security architecture. Understanding the Emerging technologies requires a fresh approach along with the relevant domain knowledge to tackle the most unexpected threats.
