NAALAM 2K23

Cadets of BSc(NS), IMU Kochi Campus participated in NAALAM 2K23 and bagged the runner up position in the football tournament for which they received a cash prize.The event was held on 24th February 2023 at National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS), KOCHI. NAALAM 2K23 is the annual academic and cultural 2 day festival organized every year by National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS), KOCHI

Winners of the Tempest Fest 2k23 a Cultural and Technical festival organized by the Indian Maritime University (IMU) Kolkata Campus.

Cadet Rohit Raj (8925), a NCC Cadet of NO. 1 BEN AIR SQN NCC, also a 4th year cadet at INDIAN MARITIME UNIVERSITY (KOLKATA CAMPUS) erstwhile DMET MERI was awarded by Director General Of NCC , Lt. Gen Gurbirpal Singh (AVSM, VSM) on the occasion of NCC DAY , 17th Nov 2022 at NCC Club house. He was awarded an appreciation prize under DG NCC MEDALLION category for his performance in ALL INDIA VAYU SAINIK CAMP, 2022 which was held at Jodhpur.

IMU Kolkata Campus, erstwhile DMET-MERI, participated in the INTER-COLLEGE FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT "KICKOFF" LOBELIA held by R.J. Kar Medical College, Belgachia on August 21-24. This was the first time the institute took part in this competition, and IMU-KC came out as the table-toppers for the event.
In the finals against Meghanand Saha Institute of Technology, Kolkata, the team performed admirably and won the cup by a score of 4-0.
Praful Kumar was named "Man of the Tournament" for his outstanding performance throughout the competition.
Other medals won by IMU Kolkata included "Most Scorer of the Tournament", which was won by the top scorers of the tournament, Sanatan and Praful Kumar, both final year cadets and "Best Goalkeeper of the Tournament", Mohammed Hammad Noorani.
Abhinav Jaiswal was named as the "Man of the match" in the final for scoring 3 goals.

Cadets Ishika Sinha, Samarth Upadhya, Jash Mehta and Radhika Kumari addressed a session in the IMarEST Annual Conference 2022, on the topic of Reducing Marine Plastic Litter. The cadets were the only Indians present in the session.
It was highly appreciated by the Session Chair Prof. Stephen De Mora and IMarEST Annual Conference viewers.
