Director Message

Kerala has been the Maritime gateway to South India with a very long coastline. Kochi, the queen of the Arabian Sea placed along this coastline, has always kept its doors open to the maritime industry. The Smart City of Kochi enjoys a rich maritime history and is home to maritime establishments such as the Cochin Port Trust, Cochin Shipyard Limited, the Indian Navy’s Southern Naval Command, the International Container Trans-shipment Terminal and a host of other ancillary industries supporting the maritime sector including the shipbuilding and repair industry and maritime education. The establishment of the IMU Kochi Campus will go a long way in the promotion of the maritime sector in particular and the economy of the country as a whole.
