IMU hosted I-ESKIMO 2024, a prestigious competition aimed at honing the skills of future maritime leaders. Organized in collaboration with IMEI, DMET-MERI Alumni, CMMI, and Lloyds Register of Shipping, the event focused on four critical maritime topics: Comprehensive Review of STCW Convention, Interplay Between Conventions, Carbon Capture and its Applications, Wind Propulsion. After an intense battle among 96 teams from IMU campuses and affiliated institutes, the finals were conducted virtually. The competition witnessed inspiring performances by the top teams, with experts from the maritime industry judging the event, including Dr. B.K. Saxena, Capt. Kishore Sundaresan, and others. Dr. (Mrs.) Malini V. Shankar, Vice Chancellor of IMU, praised the exceptional talent of the finalists, stressing the importance of innovation in shaping India’s maritime future.
