On 29th October 2024, IMU Chennai had the privilege of hosting 37 students and 8 teachers from Government ADW Higher Secondary School, Thaiyur as part of the Tamil Nadu Government's Naan Mudhalvan Scheme. This initiative aims to provide career guidance and open doors to higher education for school children across the state. The students explored various departments, laboratories, and academic facilities, including hands-on experiences with Engine Room Simulators and the Officer on Watch (OOW) training. They were also given detailed orientation on IMU Chennai’s programs, entrance exams, scholarships, and career opportunities by the Director, Heads of Departments, and senior officials. This visit was designed to inspire and expose students to the diverse opportunities in higher education and encourage them to pursue careers in reputable institutions
