The cadets of Indian Maritime University, Mumbai Port Campus, recently had the incredible opportunity to visit Indira Dock, and it was an exhilarating experience!
During the visit, they explored various dock facilities, including essential dry docks used for ship repairs and maintenance. The excitement was palpable as they observed a range of vessels up close—RoRo ships, Indian Navy ships, barges, and two magnificent bulk carriers, Pacific Sophia and Bunun Miracle.
Witnessing these impressive vessels in action deepened their appreciation for the scale and complexity of maritime operations. The hands-on exposure provided invaluable insights into the workings of dry docks and ship repair facilities, enhancing their understanding of ship handling and maintenance processes.
