Ms. Katharina Stanzel, Managing Director of The International Association of Independent Tanker Owners (INTERTANKO), visited IMU Navi Mumbai Campus on 11th April 2024. It is a Norwegian non-profit association, representing over 180 independent tanker owners and operators running nearly 3800 ocean-going oil, gas and chemical tankers. It has observer status at the International Maritime Organisation (IMO), the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and the International Oil Pollution Compensation Funds (IOPC), among others, contributing actively to their work. She was taken to a visit around the campus by the Campus Director to show the infrastructure available on the campus. Afterward, a technical interaction with IMU NMC cadets was arranged in the conference room. Tree plantation was also done by her in the campus premises.
