Indian Maritime University (IMU) has taken part in the Dinamalar Education Expo held during 23rd, 24th & 25th March 2024 at the Kalivanar Arangam, Chepauk, Chennai. Around 500 students appeared for Higher secondary board examinations & their parents visited during the three days event. Various programs offered at IMU campuses, the eligibility requirements for joining the courses like PCM minimum 60%, Minimum of 50% marks in English during 10th / 10 +2 and IMU-Common Entrance Test for admission, were explained to them. Students and their parents were elucidated about the nature of work on board ships, high salary, fast career growth and opportunities for shore jobs after quitting sailing. It was an useful opportunity to create awareness about the courses offered by IMU and IMU-CET. Representing IMU in such events will attract quality students to IMU for their higher studies.
