Mr Ashok Mahapatra, Chief Executive Officer, UA Consulting Pvt Ltd., Bhubaneshwar, and ex-Director Maritime Safety at International Maritime Organization, United Nations visited IMU(CC) on 12 Mar 24. He delivered a talk on the “Work Methods of the International Maritime Organization”, especially with reference to various aspects of formulations of Maritime Safety guidelines and the organizational structure that works on the draft versions with the Member nations. He was given a Guard of Honour at IMU Chennai Campus, followed by the Lecture at the Auditorium with students from DNS, BSc, BBA and MBA attending it in physical mode. The Lecture was also live cast to all other Campuses of IMU as well as the Semmencherry Campus, where the BTech Cadets attended the lecture in on-line mode. The lecture was very well received by the Students, who interacted with Mr Mahapatra during the intense Q&A session.
