Established in 1992 as the Marine Engineering Research Institute (MERI), the School of Marine Engineering and Technology at Indian Maritime University offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs focused on providing students with skills and knowledge necessary to excel in marine engineering. Since the merger with Indian Maritime College in 2008, the School of Marine Engineering and Technology has become one of the constituent schools of Indian Maritime University.
