Indian Maritime University, Chennai Campus hosted an International Ports Conclave on April 26, 2024, on the theme ‘Port & Terminals: Crises & Disaster Management - Policies & Strategies’ and a debut of Port Endeavour Games, an IAPH initiative to sensitize Ports on UNSDGs. The Port conclave was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Shri T.K. Ramachandran, IAS, Secretary, MOPSW, delivered the inaugural address virtually from Delhi. The event was presided over by Dr. Malini V Shankar, IAS (Retd.), the Vice Chancellor of IMU. Shri Venkatesapathy IAS, Director, MOPSW also graced the occasion. The Guest of Honor, Mr. Frank Geerkens, Consul General of Belgium in Mumbai, India addressed the gathering, stressing on the crucial role of Indian ports in facilitating global trade.
