Premitha K.C. and Pragadeeshwari P., B.Tech Marine Engineering cadets (2nd year), are thrilled to share our incredible journey representing IMU Chennai campus at the prestigious welding skill competition held at L&T Engineering Division, Kancheepuram, on October 19, 2024! A huge thank you to the Indian Institute of Welding (IIW-India) for coordinating this amazing event. We are especially grateful for the opportunity to practice in the Marine Engineering workshop in Semmencherry, which helped us refine our welding techniques. Special shoutout to our mentor, Mr. Chandran, whose expert guidance in SMAW/GMAW advanced techniques empowered us to excel in the competition. It was an honor to compete alongside talented professionals from top organizations like ICF, IGCAR, BHEL, and more! The insights we gained will undoubtedly benefit our future endeavors.
