Eligibility

  • Educational Qualification

    Candidates who have completed:
    a. Completed 1-year/2-semester Master's degree or 2-year/4-semester Master's degree after 3-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent foreign qualification.
    b. Completed a 4-year/8-semester Bachelor's degree with minimum 75% marks or equivalent grade.
    c. Completed M.S (By Research) awarded by IMU.
    d. Mariners with Master/MEO Class I Certificates or PGDMOM qualifications and 2 years of teaching experience at degree level in IMU/affiliated institutes/Directorate General of Shipping approved institutes are eligible until 2023-24 or as decided by the Vice Chancellor.
    e. Minimum 55% marks in aggregate in Bachelor's and Master's degrees unless specified otherwise.
     


  • Relaxation

    A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Government of India from time to time.
